Spring Leaves Falling

It's spring and the leaves are falling!  There are leaves everywhere.....

Trees will lose their leaves in the spring when the sap rises and new leaves are beginning to bud. There will be a period of time where the old leaves co-exist with the new growth. But their time is limited. The old leaves are dead and dying and they will drop away. We'll do our best to take care of the leaves for you but it's a never ending battle until they all drop off.

Historically, we've found that this period will last for about 4-6 weeks. Expect this to last until the end of March - hopefully.  We're not "Mother Nature" so don't hold us to this ...

For our customers that have a Premium Service Plan with us, you'll notice that we are beginning to trim all of your hedges or trees (up to 6' tall) in preparation for that new spring growth.  Please feel free to call or email us if we take care of something extra.

As always, if you have a special occasion planed, let us know in advance and we'll do our best to arrange our schedule to meet your needs. We appreciate your business!

Do you have Millennial employees at your business? If not, you could be missing out. Millennial employees (born between 1982 and 2000, give or take a few years) bring many benefits to your business. They're energetic and enthusiastic, are fluent in technology and have lower salary expectations than more experienced workers. How can you attract Millennial employees to your workplace and integrate them into your team? Try these 10 tips.

  1. Understand their expectations.
  2. Challenge them
  3. Define tasks and goals.
  4. Provide ongoing feedback
  5. Offer flexibility
  6. Provide continuing education.
  7. Match them with a mentor.
  8. Tailor benefits and rewards to their interests.
  9. Let them BYOD. (That means "Bring Your Own Device.")
  10. Use their social skills

 Bully Prevention and Reporting

The Hillsborough County School Board is committed to providing an educational setting that is safe, secure, and free from harassment and bullying for all of its students and school employees. The District will not tolerate unlawful bullying and harassment of any type.

The District in consultation with District students, parents, teachers, administrators, school staff, school volunteers, community representatives, and local law enforcement agencies have developed a District policy as part of a comprehensive plan intended to prevent bullying and harassment.

A reporting system has been created to appropriately identify, report, investigate, and respond to situations of bullying and harassment.

The District has also created a website as a resource and tool to help cultivate a learning environment where everyone involved can thrive and achieve excellence in education.
