Holiday Hazards
The holidays are in full swing here at Pet Dominion just as they are in your home. With this exciting time comes some unique dangers to your furry friends. We all know to keep them away from chocolate, poinsettias and tinsel, but the ASPCA has some other holiday hazards your pets should avoid.
For instance, did you know that mistletoe and holly can cause gastrointestinal upset? And, be sure to keep your dinner out of your pet's reach. Bones can lead to unwanted surgeries while fatty foods can lead to unwanted extra pounds. For more holiday hazards, check out the ASPCA's full article.

Little Bill's BIG Improvement
One of the greatest parts about working in a veterinary hospital is seeing the many success stories after pets have been healed or surgically mended by our experienced and knowledgeable veterinary team. Dr. Bassett shares a recent success story about a Pug with a common respiratory condition. "I can't believe it! Little Bill can breathe easily for the first time in his life! His tongue is pink instead of blue, and I had my first good night's sleep in as long as I can remember", exclaimed Little Bill's owner. Little Bill, a 5-year old pug, is breathing a lot easier now and his owner Luis is thrilled. For the rest of Little Bill's story, click on over to our Tails From Pet Dominion blog. If your pet is experiencing breathing challenges, give us a call today at (301)258-0333 for an appointment.

Santa Paws is Coming!
Your dog is invited to our 2nd Annual Photos with Santa Paws event! Santa Paws is making a special stop here at Pet Dominion this Friday, December 21st to pose for photos with your canine companion. And, it's included in our regular daycare rate! Just be sure to bring your dog for daycare by 11 a.m. that morning.
Since it's the holiday season, we are collecting pet food donations for local animal charities. Anyone who brings a case of can food or a bag of dry that day will receive a special photo gift. It's a great way to help pets in need during this season of giving. For more information, give our reservation specialist a call today at (301)258-0333.
