Together with our new name, we have a new website - www.philanthropysouthwest.org. Here, you will find the new Knowledgebase, a robust resource that is contributed to and shared among all regional associations of grantmakers across the country. The site provides information about our annual conference and all Philanthropy Southwest-sponsored events, plus foundation news and member profiles and stories. We have further enhanced the government relations section with legislative updates and more resources available for your use.

We encourage members of Philanthropy Southwest to create an account on the new website. It's easy! To learn how, visit our Welcome page.

And look for additional features in the next few weeks--we'll be adding the Member Directory, which will allow members to update their own profile as well as to search for colleagues.

RURAL PHILANTHROPY DAYS GOES TO SOUTHWEST COLORADO
On June 11 - 13, Pagosa Springs hosted the first of two 2014 Rural Philanthropy Days in Colorado. Philanthropy Southwest Executive Director Lucille DiDomenico attended the event, saying "Rural Philanthropy Days (RPD) in Colorado is its own 'force' --  a live and in-person expression of the highest form of collaboration among foundations and grantseekers. Sue Anschutz-Rodgers, RPD's founder, has given rural Colorado an extraordinary gift that has endured for 21 years. I have never before witnessed a philanthropic event that left me as inspired and enriched for the experience."

Participants in Southwest Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days visit during the event.

RPD provides a unique opportunity for Colorado's most influential funders and local grantseekers to strengthen partnerships and better serve the state's rural communities. The event is designed for nonprofits to gain knowledge on how to be more effective and understanding of what grantmakers fund and to find out which funders are a match for their organization's mission.

Anschutz Family Foundation initiated the RPD program in 1991 through a partnership with the Community Resource Center to bridge the disparity of opportunities available in rural Colorado, as compared with the state's metro areas. To date, 44 RPD conferences have been hosted. The Southeast Colorado Rural Philanthropy Days will be held September 24 - 26, 2014 in Trinidad, Colorado.
