  • *                             Perinatal/Infant Health

AAFP Offers Workforce solutions on Capitol Hill

AAFP leaders held a press briefing in Washington, DC on Monday to offer their recommendations to reform federal GME funding and structure, in order to train the right physician workforce for the future, one that will meet the nation's growing primary care demand.

The Academy's recommendations, appear in a report titled Aligning Resources, Increasing Accountability and Delivering a Primary Care Physician Workforce for America.

The five recommendations seek to break the 50-year old format that has not enabled GME funding to be used in the most optimal ways to train and build a family medicine foundation for America.  You can link to the AAFP News story from Thursdaywith more details
