Chicago Essential Evidence Topics
The University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Family Medicine and the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians are pleased to announce that online registration for the Chicago Essential Evidence Topics conference, taking place April 11-12, 2014 at UIC, is now open!
Family physicians, more than any other health care providers, are required to be knowledgeable of the most recent practices in a wide array of medical specialties. As such, these clinicians face an almost overwhelming task of staying abreast of current research and assessing it for clinical implications. This educational activity is designed to address primary care clinicians' knowledge and educational needs through short presentations that review and analyze recent findings from pertinent clinical research, with a specific focus on research studies that have immediate implications for practice.
Most of the studies reviewed will be randomized clinical trials and meta-analyses, which are considered the highest level of evidence for clinical effectiveness.
This activity is designed for family physicians, general internists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other health care professionals who have an interest in primary care.
