The IAFP is pleased to close its 2013 CME schedule with two live immunization webinars. The webinars are made possible through an education grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The We Choose Health Baby-Friendly Hospital Project is a strategy that not only supports hospitals as they work towards Baby-Friendly designation, but also focuses on developing a strong partnership between the hospital and the health department to strengthen community breastfeeding support. This webinar will focus primarily on the role of the health department in this project. An overview of the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and the 4-D Pathway to Baby-Friendly designation will be given. Additionally, ideas will be shared about strategies that health departments can implement to collaborate with the hospital and create a Baby-Friendly community that will best educate and support local breastfeeding families.
