American Academy of Family Physicians:
Talk With Your Doctor Initiative
| |
Tobacco is still the number one preventable cause of death and disease. AAFP has partnered with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) to launch a "Talk with Your Doctor" initiative to increase physician-patient dialogue on tobacco dependence.
Talk to patients, friends, and family about tobacco dependence, and help them quit. Brief tobacco cessation interventions are effective, and patients want to be asked.
