April 2016

Jeff Rector, HOA President
We had a disgruntled lumberjack rampage through Heritage Greens last week. No one was hurt but we have determined it was actually financial terrorism as many homeowners are out several hundred dollars to remove the damage. Conspiracy theorists believe the coalition of centennial landscapers may have ties to the lumberjack as they have recently been seen in Ferraris due to the financial windfall. This is very similar to the roofing assaults in 2013.

We now welcome the beginning of our spring/summer season (even with fewer trees). The new pool heaters are installed and swim team is right around the corner. Look for information in next months newsletter about the first social event of the season which is sure to be fun for all!

Garage Doors will now be staying open longer and kids will be all over our streets. Please, please, please be vigilant and let's work together to call out speeders plates and approach those near your street if they are loitering. Here's to a safe and wonderful summer Spring and Summer season.

So proud to serve all of you.

Jeff

Covenant Corner: Signs & Home Improvement
Ahhhhh, spring is in the air. Just a reminder, per our Rules and Regs,
Owner Maintenance Rules, page 2: Owners are to maintain the landscape
and exteriors of the home on their lot in a first class, residential condition,
with no dead lawn areas, trees or shrubs and without damaged parts to the
exterior of their home. And then this rule goes on to "SPECIFY", which
"specifically" spells out 21 specifics of this SPECIFICALLY. How's that
for keeping a neighborhood GREAT! Let's all enjoy the upcoming summer!

Recycling

Clean those closets, basements and garages out!
Take advantage of joining your neighbors in a garage sale. There are many folks who have asked for a spring sale, so it is May 13 and 14th.  It is not sponsored by anyone but we highly suggest advertising on
next-door.com.  This will cut down on cars and people cruising the neighborhood throughout the summer and focus it on one weekend.  The more homes that do this, the more traffic to come by your house.  Good luck with getting rid of your unwanted items, which become someone else's treasure!

REduce:  Put your yard spring clean-up materials directly in your trash can.  That way they can decompose at the landfill.

REuse:  Take your unwanted eyeglasses to most eye doctors who will donate them to organizations that give them to those who cannot afford eye care and eyewear.

Guiry's takes unwanted paint.  Check their website out to find out how and when to do it.

Batteries Plus Bulbs : Batteries Plus Bulbs is committed to recycling spent batteries and light bulbs as a means to reduce waste in our landfills, stop harmful chemicals from contaminating our soil and water, and preserve our environment by decreasing the need for new raw materials from the Earth.
