There are so many great announcements to share. The opening of our pool this month kicks off what's sure to be another fantastic summer season (details later on)! Please be patient with those of us bringing our blinding legs and winter insulation out for the first time in public. It's all in the family. Be on the lookout for enhanced landscaping and flowers at the common areas and entrances to our community this season as well. With everyone outdoors more, let's all work together to keep Heritage Greens looking spectacular by picking up any trash you see. Please notify me of any major concerns. I'm thrilled to announce the addition of two critical roles for our neighborhood that were approved by the board in May. The Heritage Greens Community Advocate role is now part of our permanent HOA volunteer team. This resident will be the tireless champion to promoting all our neighborhood has to offer to the press, local businesses, city leaders, and prospective buyers. If you are interested and see a synergy with your occupation please let me know as soon as possible. We've also added a new Welcoming Committee to quickly acclimate new residents and welcome them to the neighborhood. Thanks to Meredith McKinnon, MaryLynn Rector, Donna Herz and Sarah Browning for stepping up to make this possible! Be sure to check those swimsuits for moth holes in critical locations! |

Please join your neighbors in support of our swim team at the annual Gator Gallop!
Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 9 a.m.
This is a 2 mile fun run and walk sponsored by Anne Dresser Kocur of Fuller Sotheby's Realty and Leslie McGivern of Affiliated Financial that supports our Heritage Greens Gators. This is a great kickoff to summer and a fun way to reconnect with old neighbors and meet new ones! It is open to all Heritage Greens residents even if you are not part of the swim team.
This year we will have some fun post-race activities including the opportunity to dunk our very own swim team coaches in dunk tanks! We have prizes for all ages and have created this special t-shirt for the 2013 Gator Gallop. Don't miss out!
Registration forms can be downloaded here and will also be available at the HG entrance signs. Registration with t-shirt orders are due by Monday May 13. We hope you can join us for a healthy run, prizes and fun!

Tennis League Season Has Begun!
| |
Hopefully the snow is gone for good, and there won't be too many weather related reschedules.
The new reservation system has been used quite a lot, hopefully most of you have had a chance to familiarize yourselves with it or have used it. Now that league has started and the courts are more crowded, it is even more important to check the system before going to the courts to play. Reservations will always take precedence over just walking on.
The tennis court rules are posted at the courts and the reservation policy is here. Please, Please, Please make sure to delete your reservation if you are not going to use it so others can know exactly what is open. The gate to the tennis area should be kept closed at all times. We have already had damage done to some equipment and leaving the gate wide open just invites that sort of thing. Please make sure to close and lock the gate when leaving the area, that goes for the bathrooms as well. We are all fortunate to have our own tennis club right in our neighborhood. These courts are professionally cleaned four times a year. Inbetween these times, we need everyone's help to pitch in because our contracted landscaping company and our lifeguards are not responsible to clean the tennis courts or the walkway area.
Trash - If you see the court side trash cans (underneath scoring markers) full, please empty them at the main trash cans between courts 2 and 3.
Tools - Court brushes/squeegees are located on court 2, on the left side just inside the gate. Please return them when finished.
Pitch in - Please help to keep these areas clean by picking up after yourselves and be watchful for any loose trash that you see left behind by others.

Website Features - Neighborhood Calendar, Teen Services, Find a Sitter
| |
Neighborhood Calendar
There is a new feature on our website, a neighborhood calendar. We've got a few things on there so far and will add more soon. You can check to see when the swim meets are that will close the swimming pool, or when the next social event will be taking place.
Do you have some teens, tweens or college age kids who want to earn some extra money this summer? Maybe they want to mow lawns, water flowers and pick up newspapers when neighbors are out of town, clean trash cans or run errands. They can list their service under a new feature on the website called TEEN SERVICES. Check it out! And if you need some help, hire a local teen! This is not the place for babysitters. If your child wants to babysit, house sit or pet sit - check out the FIND A SITTER section. Your kids can post what they do, what they charge and when they available. Give it a try! And when you need sitter - hire a neighbor! |

Tennis Court and Volleyball Reservation Online
| |
Now you can reserve a tennis court or the volleyball court online. Visit our website at www.heritagegreens.org, log in (if needed) and go to the Tennis, VB & Community Room Reservations tab. From there choose a court to see the calendar of when the court is available or reserved. You can put in a reservation by just clicking the calendar when you would like to play. It's easy.
It is very important to use the court when you reserve it or delete your online reservation if you can not use it. We want to be sure it is available to other residents. |
Reserving the Community Room
| |
All of the information and forms you need to reserve the Community Room are on our website under Community Room. Click here to see it. We have added a calendar so you can check availability of the room. Your reservation cannot be established until you fill out the reservation information online and it has been confirmed by Heather Kelly. However, if there is no name on the date/time you are looking at, it is likely that it will be available. |
Please No Contractor Signs
| |
Contractor signs are not allowed to be displayed in Heritage Greens at any time. Homeowners who have contractor signs will be called and asked to remove them.
