Within brilliant flames are the words, Our God is a consuming fire.

His Kingdom cannot be shaken.
He will never leave you.

Hebrews 12:28, Matthew 28:20

He will fight for you
Volume XVI, Issue 6

Life can be horrible. Trouble comes. Hardship surrounds us. The unimaginable occurs. With no end in sight, we cry out, My soul is in anguish. How long, O Lord, how long? (Psalm 6:3, NIV).

How do we move from despair to hope? How do we reach that point where we can confidently say, Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him (Psalm 62:5, NIV)?

When we remember...He will fight for you.

Take care & be God's,

Chuck

He Will Fight for You...by Janet Perez Eckles

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the LORD.

They said to Moses, "Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn't we say to you in Egypt, 'Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians'? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!"

Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:10-14

As I read these words, I paint a picture in my mind of the discontentment on their faces.

I can hear their complaint and sense their anxiety. The same emotions that invade my own life from time to time.
Cascading waterfall

But the reassuring promise Moses declared gives me a better outlook, bringing welcome peace.

Tranquility washes over me...so I repeat over and over again: The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.

In the stillness of His presence...His deliverance is revealed, His commitment comes alive, and our spirit connects with His.
Seeing the best in life,

Janet
