On Thursday, March 21st, direct service staff from UNCOM member agencies came together at Neighborhood House of Milwaukee to learn new skills in the areas of nutrition and physical activity.
MCOPP partners from Milwaukee organizations provided their expertise to make the training possible. Brett Fuller of Milwaukee Public Schools engaged participants in the first session - "Simple Physical Activity Games". Yvonne Greer, Registered Dietitian and owner of Y-Eat Right Nutritional Consulting, led the "Whole Grains 101" session.
All participants received a binder of materials to take back and use at their respective agencies. Contact Sarah O'Connor to receive a copy of the training materials (soconnor@uncom-milw.org). The next training will take place in October, 2013.
