TD-LTE will boost industry this year, but margins still squeezed

The cadet branch of the LTE platform, TD-LTE, will gain some real momentum this year – still driven heavily by China Mobile’s investments, but with other operators pushing towards critical mass too. It is starting to be regarded not just as a fallback option for those with sub-optimal spectrum – or a second wave technology when carriers run out of paired frequencies – but a technology with genuine advantages of its own.
