Medical Cannabis Becomes Law in Minnesota

Additional Health Care Laws Passed In Session

Minnesota Among States to Develop Workforce Plan
Minnesota is among seven states that will receive training in how to develop and implement a statewide health care workforce plan, according to the National Governors Association. The other states include Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. Read more here.

Opting Out of Reporting Quality Measures
MMA members should remember that they can request a waiver from the health department if they have a good reason for not reporting the state's quality measures. For details on the process, go online.

Budding Filmmakers: Contest Launched to Promote Choosing Wisely
In an effort to help promote the Choosing Wisely campaign, the MMA is holding a video contest. Members are asked to submit videos (five minutes or shorter) by July 1, promoting the Choosing Wisely campaign to a physician audience. Read more here.
