Bipartisan Team Announces Bill for State-Based Exchange
The MMA was encouraged when word came that a bipartisan group of state lawmakers were supporting legislation that would create a state-based health insurance exchange, which is mandated by the Affordable Care Act of 2010. |
Minnesota Department of Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson announced Jan. 8 that she and other DHS representatives will travel to Washington, D.C. to attempt to convince Medicaid officials to allow Minnesota flexibility and access to the funding available under the Basic Health Plan option of the Affordable Care Act. |
