Did you know that April is Volunteer Appreciation Month? Making It Better would not be the same without our volunteers! A BIG thank you to those who made Family Literacy Night a big success at Bruce Elementary School! Families participated in fun literacy activities, while guest readers read to small groups of children. Our celebrity reader was former Houston Texans player, Wade Smith, who brought the children to laughter with his animated reading style. The evening culminated with a drawing for gift baskets filled with literacy and enrichment activities.
