MASK PRESS RELEASE
From: Michelle Cardini (michelle@maskmatters.org)

7 IN 10 GIRLS BELIEVE THEY AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH BECAUSE OF THEIR LOOKS, PERFORMANCE IN SCHOOL & RELATIONSHIPS WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Scottsdale, AZ - Dissatisfaction among America's youth has become so widespread, researchers now consider it a natural part of growing up. When kids are unhappy with themselves, it can lead to self-esteem issues and/or depression.
Rancho Solano Preparatory School is taking a stand to edcuate their students on self-esteem.
Recently, MASK Program Development and
Training Manager Karen Nowicki conducted a
MASK E3 Self-Esteem presentation to elementary school students at Rancho Solano Preparatory School in Scottsdale. Students discussed the influence and allure of the media and social media and were encouraged to value themselves based on their own merit. The self-esteem presentations teach students personal awareness, greater self-worth and how to be solid from the inside out which ultimately leads to better decisions.
"We were thrilled to have MASK present to 250 K-5th grade students on self-esteem." stated Salli Mahaffy, Headmaster of Rancho Solano Preparatory School Greenway Campus. "They said afterwards, it made them feel like they were in control of their feelings and their confidence not pushed by words or their friends or others. It ties in perfectly with the character traits our school believes in and celebrates with our students."
MASK is happy to provide a forum in which to address the many issues facing our children by offering personalized, small and large group presentations at schools, clubs or businesses. Each MASK E3 Program attendee will receive a complimentary copy of the MASK The Magazine issue related to their presentation topic.
