MASK Quarterly Recap!
Dear Donor,

I am writing today to personally thank you for your donation to MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids). As a nonprofit organization, we certainly could not do what we do without your support, and we are so very grateful for your generosity.

With your help, MASK has grown quite a bit since our last Quarterly Update.

Here is a breakdown of our exciting growth:

  • From July 1, 2013 to present, MASK presentations impacted over 3,956 students, parents, and school administrators throughout Arizona.
  • The MASK website reached over 50,651 people between July 1, 2013 to present.
  • Over 17,000 people received the digital MASK newsletter monthly.
  • Between Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google Plus, MASK social media reached 2.5 million people.
  • MASK The Magazine was now boasts over 2,500,000 readers, both in print and digital versions.
  • The 2013 MASKer Aide Gala was attended by more than 270 individuals. We were able to honor Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton as the "Dad Dialed In" Award Recipient; Tina Greggo, Greggo Photography as the "Engagement" Award Recipient; Rancho Solano Preparatory Academy as "Educational" Award Recipient; and The Halstead Foundation as the "Empowerment" Award recipient.
  • The MASK Unity Community is celebrating its second year and has reached over 1,000 people, including nominees and attendees to the "Moms Making a Difference" Unity Award Luncheon, and our partnership with Carrabba's restaurant which hosts quarterly Unity Community lunches featuring guest speakers. The goal is to help connect the dots within the community of passion purposed individuals who are helping enrich families.
  • This year, MASK launched our E3 Summer Camps at our offices. It is through these camps that we are able to reach students on a more personal level and create a community of students who otherwise would have never met. Through the Summer Camps, we were able to build self-esteem with around 20 teenage girls and help K-6 graders identify bullying behaviors and equip them with tools to prevent bullying within their schools. The program went so well that we set Summer 2014 dates right after the last camp!

Here is a sampling of what people are saying about MASK:

In addition to all the fantastic work that you were able to help bring to fruition and in the spirit of transparency, MASK would like to introduce you to our staff and where we see MASK going within the next few years. Instead of profiling each staff member in text, we decided to do it in video format! Below -- and through each Quarterly Recap -- we will bring you one of the three videos.

Faces Behind the MASK Part 1

You brought us from a small group of Arizona moms seeking to stay informed, to our current standing as a resource for many families. Although we have many subscribers outside of Arizona, with your continued help, our goal is bring the magazine to a national level and have a far greater impact and reach.

Thank you for allowing MASK to continue to engage, educate and empower! We can't do it without you!

With Sincere Gratitude,

Kimberly Cabral
