MASK CONDUCTS SAFE DATING PRESENTATION TO PARENTS IN THE KYRENE SCHOOL DISTRICT
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - MASK Co-Founder and Director of Education Pam Baumann recently conducted a presentation to 35 parents of middle schoolers in the Kyrene School District on the topic of safe dating.
"Many parents were surprised to learn that 1 in 5 teens that have been in a serious relationship report being hit, slapped, or pushed by a partner," said Baumann.
"The MASK presentation contained valuable information for our middle school parents," said Amanda Hamm of the Kyrene School District. Parents were educated about the many forms of abuse that can exist within teen relationships, and were reminded about the importance self-esteem can have in a relationship.
"I have a 14 year old daughter, and am struggling with what is appropriate for 'dating,'" said one parent. "My fiance and I enjoyed all the information presented to us."
