With your help, MASK has grown quite a bit since we began in 2007. What began as semi-monthly meetings, has flourished to include school presentations, social media reach, and an award-winning quarterly magazine.
Here is a breakdown of our exciting growth:
- From February 1, 2013 to present, MASK presentations impacted over 2,165 students, parents, and school administrators throughout Arizona.
- The MASK website reached over 40,400 people between February 1, 2013 to present.
- Over 17,000 people received the digital MASK newsletter monthly.
- Between Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google Plus, MASK social media reached 2 million people.
- MASK The Magazine was launched in the Spring of 2011, and now boasts over 2,080,000 readers, both in print and digital versions.
- The MASK Unity Community is celebrating its second year and has reached over 413 people, including nominees and attendees to the "Moms Making a Difference" Unity Award Luncheon, and our partnership with Carrabba's restaurant which hosts quarterly Unity Community lunches featuring guest speakers. The goal is to help connect the dots within the community of passion purposed individuals who are helping enrich families.
Here is a sampling of what people are saying about MASK:
"After attending a MASK presentation,. I learned to ask my daughter questions and listen to her thoughts and feelings. Wow! I heard so much by keeping my mouth closed, engaging her in the dialogue and empowering her with her own ability to work through some solutions. Thank you."

"As a student journalist, writing for MASK The Magazine has been one of my most rewarding experiences. The publication does such wonderful, worthwhile things for students and parents struggling with very real, very scary situations. I truly feel that through writing for MASK, I've been presented with the opportunity to make a difference in someones life."
-Megan Janetsky, Student Contributing Writer
"Writing for MASK Magazine has been a complete privilege. It's amazing to be published outside my school campus and I'm very glad that I was given this opportunity to publish my work with MASK. Contributing to the Student Awareness Tools enabled me share the experiences of my peers and reach a common ground with them while doing so. There are many scenarios we face in high school and it was wonderful that we were able to voice our opinion thanks to this feature."
-Vanessa Soncco, Student Contributing Writer
You brought us from a small group of Arizona moms seeking to stay informed, to our current standing as a resource for many families. Although we have many subscribers outside of Arizona, with your continued help, our goal is bring the magazine to a national level and have a far greater impact and reach.
Thank you for allowing MASK to continue to engage, educate and empower! We can't do it without you!
With Sincere Gratitude,
Kimberly Cabral
