MASK Honors Students

MASK HONORS PHS STUDENT CONTRIBUTING WRITERS
AT ITS 5th ANNIVERSARY
"APPRECIATION CELEBRATION"

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids) hosted its 5th Anniversary "Appreciation Celebration" on November 29th from 5:30 to 8:30pm.
Past and present supporters attended, as well as student contributing writers from Pinnacle High School who were honored for their outstanding work published in the winter issue of MASK The Magazine.

Pinnacle High School Students reveal the true identity behind labels and stereotypes in the S.A.T. (Student Awareness Tools) section of the MASK The Magazines's winter 2012 issue. Student staff members of Pinnacle High School's Blueprint magazine wrote and photographed the 10 page S.A.T. section led by Blueprint Editor-In-Chief Alexandra Dersch and Pinnacle High School's Faculty Advisor Teresa Smith. The S.A.T. section is designed to give students a voice on important issues facing them today. By explaining how their world looks and feels, they can show how students have dealt with, overcome or been empowered by an experience.

"It's inspiring to see their passion for writing and storytelling brought to life in the pages of our S.A.T. section," said MASK The Magazine's managing editor Michelle Jacoby. "This is our second time working with PHS writers, and once again, I was impressed by their professionalism and creativity."
