To whom it may concern:
As one of the schools that has hosted a MASK presentation in the past, I am contacting you to thank you personally for allowing us to provide important information to your students and/or their parents.
Since we began in 2007, we have grown considerably, and we are no longer able to offer our presentations for free. However, thanks to a very generous donation, we are able to offer your school the opportunity to schedule one of the many types of informative MASK presentations at a discounted rate.
As you may recall, each MASK presentation is approximately 45 minutes to one hour in length. Following are topics that we can address during our assembly-style or small group presentation:
- Bullying and Cyberbullying
- Tobacco
- Alcohol, Prescription Drugs and Illicit Drug Trends
- Internet and Technology Safety
- Eating Disorders
- Depression and Anxiety
- Self-Esteem Workshops for Boys and Girls
- Healthy Peer-to-Peer Relationships (Safe Dating)
- Trauma Drills
- Safe Driving
Each presentation is tailored to be age-appropriate to the group, and will include positive reinforcement activities to help strengthen decision-making habits. We believe preparing and empowering children early will place them on a positive track which will lead to healthy decisions. Our presentations are divided into the following four age groups:
Kindergarten - 3rd grade
4th - 6th grade
7th - 8th grade
9th - 12th grade
In addition to educating school-age children, we feel that parents also should become aware of what their child has learned during a MASK presentation, which is why we encourage you to also consider scheduling a follow-up presentation for parents. MASK parent presentations elaborate on the subject matter and provide prevention tactics and conversation starters. (Due to some mature content, parent presentations are strictly for parents).
Thank you again for your interest in the safety and well-being of your students. If you would like more information, or to schedule a presentation, please respond to programs@maskmatters.org, or contact me at (480) 502-5337.
