MASK EDUCATES "MOMSnext" AT LA CASA DE CRISTO LUTHERAN CHURCH ON BULLYING AND CYBERBULLYING.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ - On Tuesday November 13, 2012, MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-age Kids) had an
opportunity to engage, educate and empower MOMSnext, a group of mothers of children ages 6-12, who
attend La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church in Scottsdale, AZ. regarding the many types of bullying that exist
inside and outside of schools today. The morning and evening bully presentations follow MASK's blanket
approach of educating students, administrators and parents on the latest trends. The presentation included
information about the many forms of bullying and highlighted the more prevalent types among specific
age groups and gender. Parents learned the various reasons why kids bully, who is most affected, and were
provided with tips and tools on how to engage, educate and empower their children to deal with bullying
situations, whether they are the bully, the victim or the bystander.
"Thank you MASK for your professional and informative presentation on bullying." said Michelle Hayes,
Director of MOMSnext at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, "You have shared with the moms at MOMSnext
at La Casa de Cristo, necessary information so we can recognize and better support our children through any
bullying situation they may encounter. Your age appropriate conversation starters enable us to begin having
the conversations to empower our children for their future. We look forward to future presentations from
your organization so together we can engage, educate and empower more."
