Next Generation Science Standards
Rhode Island became the first state to adopt the Next Generation Science standards with a unanimous vote by the State Board of Education. However, Achieve, Inc. advises that states be patient in their implementation of the standards.
The NGSS website has added interactive links to the arrangements by DCI and Topic as well as a search feature.
The additional elements of Scientific and Engineering Practices and Crosscutting Concepts have been released by Achieve, Inc. Model Course Mapping and Connections to the CCSS are still listed as "Coming Soon". AB is working on the development of connections and anticipates that the connection to our Common Terms Catalog will be complete next week. We are advising clients to be cautious in their aligment projects as these standards are different than standards we have traditionally aligned.

New Reporting Feature for Alignments Coming Soon
The Reports Management System will soon include two new reporting options:

New / Removed / Changed Documents Report: Lists documents added, removed, or changed since date selected

Existing Document Changes Report: Lists GUIDs added or removed in existing documents since date selected. Includes revised standards text
The initial release will allow Tools clients to generate reports that will indicate changes in data beginning with a date they select. For example, If a client conducted an alignment in June 2011, they can now review changes to standards data since that time to plan their next alignment.
