Learning Outside of the Classroom
Synergy Middle School Students Visit Washington D.C. and New York City
In June, a group of Synergy Kinetic Academy 7th and 8th grade students spent their first week of summer break on an experiential learning trip to the East Coast to visit New York City and Washington D.C. It was the first time most of the students had ever been on an airplane.

Students spent five days touring these great and historic cities. Highlights of the trip included visiting the Smithsonian Museums, the Lincoln Memorial, and the White House in Washington D.C. In New York City, students went to the top of the Empire State Building, rode the ferry to Ellis Island, and saw The Lion King on Broadway.

The students thank their parents, families, staff, and generous donors for making it possible for them to enjoy this life-changing trip! Synergy also thanks the following dedicated staff members for chaperoning: David Na'il, Sandy Andrade, David Trachtenberg, and Shelley Ramey.

Synergy Hosts Special Education Track Meet

On July 8th, Synergy Quantum Academy teamed up with Maya Angelou Community High School to host a Special Games Track Invitational. Over 100 special needs students from both Synergy and LAUSD competed in events like the 100 meter dash, 4X100 relays, and long jump. Many more students showed up to cheer them on. It was a great event, and the students experienced the joy and pride of competing in their first track meet.

Synergy Academies' schools serve students of all abilities and needs. Watch this video to learn about how Synergy works with PresenceLearning to provide online speech therapy.
