Synergy Earns #1 National, State, and Local Rankings
|
Synergy Academies is proud to announce that our elementary school, Synergy Charter Academy, has added two more #1 rankings to its long list of national and state awards. In May, Synergy Charter Academy received a 2013 National Excellence in Urban Education Award (Gold Winner), which means that our school was named the #1 urban elementary school in America. The award was presented by the National Center for Urban School Transformation, and it is the school's fifth national award. Additionally, in August, the University of Southern California (USC) named Synergy Charter Academy the #1 Charter Elementary School in California. The award was based on USC's School Performance Dashboard. All three Synergy schools are also leading the way in their local community. According to the 2013 Academic Performance Index (API), Synergy's elementary school, Synergy Charter Academy, continues to be the highest-performing, fully-implemented K-5 school in South Los Angeles for the eighth year in a row. Meanwhile, Synergy Kinetic Academy and Synergy Quantum Academy were the highest-performing 6-8th grade middle school and 9-12th grade high school in the 90011 zip code, respectively. We are extremely proud of our students because they are providing proof that when families and schools work hard together, all students can succeed regardless of their backgrounds.
