Letter from the Executive Director: Run Wild Missoula's Annual Survey Results Are In
by Eva Dunn-Froebig, RWM Executive Director

Thanks to the 341 members who filled Run Wild Missoula's Annual Survey. We picked two members at random to receive a RWM shirt for taking the time to fill out the survey. The two lucky winners are Rebecca Merritt and Catherine Redfern. Congratulations on receiving a long sleeved RWM technical top to keep you warm and safe this winter and spring!

Click here for the survey results. Reading the survey gives us an idea of whom our club members are and how we can serve you all better.

5th Annual Run for the Luck of It! 5K/7-Miler/Kid's Run: Saturday, March 15th
by Jen von Sehlen, Race Director

Run for the Luck of It

St. Patrick's Day Fun is Just around the Corner!

It's March, my fellow runners and walkers, and though there may be 2+ feet of snow in the valley, berms up to our hips, and an amazing amount of pow in the mountains, there's a race to be run on Saturday, March 15 and we hope you'll be joining us for the 5th Annual Run for the Luck of It! Again, participants have two race distances from which to choose, 5K and 7-Mile. As in years past, both races will start and finish in downtown Missoula, on Pine Street, in front of Sean Kelly's; runners, walkers, skippers, and joggers will make their way through the West- and North-side neighborhoods, before winding back to the start via the North-side pedestrian bridge. And, for our young lads and lassies, the kids' dash is back and free as always!  Click here to read more about all that will be happening at the race - bag pipers, loads of food, prizes, and more. This is one fun run!

Family togetherness counts for a lot, and running races together makes for fun times and lots of memories.

Here's to two families, the McCurdy's and the Millett-Jauck's, for participating in so many Run Wild Missoula races that they could have had their own finish line!   Instead, they each have won a special Run Wild Missoula hat from Sauce Headwear, to stay looking so cool and to find each other in the races for 2014!

Click here to read more the races they ran and how the Millett-Jauck family gets ready for the races.

Race Report - Snow Joke
by Gilia Patterson, RWM Member

The Snow Joke half marathon was once again run, as is tradition, around Seeley Lake on the last Saturday of February. As befits its name, the race is run regardless of the weather or the footing. RWM was well-represented, again this year! RWM member, Gilia Patterson, writes about this year's race, which was under new management (but not without Pat Caffrey - the founder and soul of the race - who continued the tradition of awarding Cheetah Ranger membership to the winners). Click here to read about Gilia's account of the race. Gilia had a great race, placing third in her division!
