Letter from the Executive Director: Back on Track
by Eva Dunn-Froebig, Run Wild Missoula Executive Director Tuesday Track is back on track-- Dornblaser Track that is-- as of February 26. I took this as my cue to start getting my training back on track too. While the track workout coached by Olympian Courtney Babock was hard and it made me realize how out of shape I've become this winter, I was amazed at how good I felt the next day. Run For The Luck Of It 7 Mile and 5K, March 16
by Jen von Sehlen, Run for the Luck of It Co-Race Director
Don't Delay; You're Less than Two Weeks Away from a Sham-tastic Time! March is here and race season is upon us! Catch 'Em if You Can and Snow Joke are behind us now and were a good warm up to a spring full of dashes to the finish line and Missoula Marathon training. And, for those of you who actually read my article last month and are curious, yes, I again beat my husband to the finish line of Catch 'Em, and by a slightly larger gap, and with a bruised bum to-boot (long story, but in sum: ice sucks!)! With our milder weather if you're still feeling sluggish, need a little extra motivation getting out for a run, or just need to change up your weekend routine, I have the best antidote for you: the Run for the Luck of It! 5K or 7-Mile on March 16th of course! View From The Back
by Run Wild Missoula Member Joni Waldrup It all started in June of 2011. I felt very unwell. I had been living a very sedentary lifestyle and hadn't been eating properly at all. I was in poor shape and really feeling it. I knew that I had to make a change, so I got off my duff and started by hiking the M trail a couple times each week and trying to eat better. It went pretty well. Over that summer, I lost weight, gained fitness and started to feel better. But as fall and winter approached, I knew that the trail would be getting muddy and then icy and that I would be less enthusiastic about hiking it. I knew I needed to find a new activity and started considering my options. Click here to read the entire article.

Member Profile: James Johnson
by Run Wild Missoula Member Terry Stekly "Three years ago, my friends Ryan & Leigh suggested I sign up for the Run Wild Missoula marathon training course. I had never been a runner before, but I was going through a very difficult time and I was looking for something that would keep me active. Since then I've run four half-marathons, one full marathon and a whole bunch of 5ks. I'm looking forward to training for the Missoula Marathon again this year."
