Auto-Import Photographs into Metron

In other newsletters, we have demonstrated how to auto-import images into Metron using Dropbox. Metron can be configured to auto-import images from Dropbox direct to a Metron study. A great method especially if you are sharing Metron images across multiple platforms or devices.

Here is an easy way to auto-import digital photographs into your Metron database without using Dropbox. This is especially useful for dental practices. So many of you take digital pictures before and after teeth cleaning, but then you would like a method to get those images easily into the appropriate Metron study. Well...now you can and you begin by creating a folder on your desktop!

Follow the instructions in this brief document to take advantage of this Metron feature. Photographs are used by many veterinarians including equine and companion animal practices...especially those who specialize in dental.

Once imported, you can manipulate the photographs using all the available Metron tools.  The photographs can be used in your dental reports and dental forms.

OK...what hasn't your dog done for you lately? Except bring you hugs, comfort when you need it, and maybe one of the best greetings when you come home after a long day at the office.

Well, mark your calendar, because it is their day Wednesday, August 26! An extra treat or a walk to the park is in order!

Locating images
in the Trash Can

If you are regularly deleting images because of retakes etc, your trash folder will fill up pretty fast. But this also means that most of the images now stored in the "Trash" are not useful.

When you do mistakenly delete an image you want to restore, it could be lost in the long list of other deleted images. If the list is long, be aware you may have your valuable image sitting on the "Page 2" of the trash can list.

We recommend you regularly empty the trash can so the list is never very long. A short trash can list will make it easy to find and restore the valuable image.

Just keep in mind that once you permanently delete an image, it is unrecoverable.
