Crestwood Center Summer Program Registration

The Crestwood Center is currently accepting applications for the 2015 Summer Program. The Summer Program will take place June 1st - July 31st from 7AM- 6PM weekdays and the total cost is $500 + $25 membership fee. Activities include field trips, swimming, health education, creative writing, sports, and much more! Strong, Smart, Bold Teen Conference Now Registering!

Girls Inc. of Central Alabama will hold our annual Strong, Smart, Bold Teen Conference on Saturday, January 31, 2015. The conference will be held at Samford University from 9am-3pm. All teen girls are invited to attend. Workshop topics will include financial literacy, dressing for success, resume writing, and how to make smart decisions in tough situations. Now Registering for the Girls Engineering Conference

The Girls Engineering Conference is a 100% FREE event for girls in 6th-8th grade who are interested in science and engineering. The event will be held at the Alabama Power Corporate Headquarters on Saturday, March 21st from 9am-3pm. This event is a joint project between Girls Inc. of Central Alabama, Alabama Power Company, and iCan: Girls in Engineering. Students will spend the day with female engineers from Alabama Power Company engaging in exciting, hands-on workshops to learn about and apply concepts from various fields of the engineering discipline. The event will include a fun engineering design challenge! Please click here to register. The last day to register is Friday, February 20th.

Eureka! Math and Science Summer Camp

Girls Inc. of Central Alabama is now accepting applications for our Eureka! Summer Camp! The 2015 summer camp dates are July 6-31, 2015

weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and is open to girls entering the 8th grade. The camp will be held on the campus of UAB in the Business and Engineering Complex. Daily activities include hands-on lessons led by experienced instructors and faculty from the School of Engineering. Participants also enjoy field trips and physical activity through both traditional and non-traditional adventure sports activities, such as rock climbing and hiking!
