The Teen Leadership Program provides fun educational and social opportunities for girls in 9th-12th grades. Annual activities include a variety of workshops, community service opportunities and college visits. The annual membership fee is $100. Register Now for Crestwood After School Program

The Crestwood Center After School Program began on August 14, 2014 but it's not too late to register your daughter. Activities will include health education, economic literacy, creative writing, sports, and much more! The cost is $25 for membership and $500.00 for program participation. Girls Inc. Now Scheduling Outreach Classes in Schools

The Girls Inc. Outreach Department brings Girls Inc. programs to the community by traveling to schools, churches, and other locations to offer an array of developmental and culturally sensitive programs. Youth participate in vital, age-appropriate prevention education designed to reduce risky behaviors, encourage positive life choices, and increase their chances for success. These classes are provided free-of-charge. Program areas include:

  • Health and Wellness
  • Life Skills Development
  • Preventing Adolescent Pregnancy
  • Hispanic Initiative

Girls Inc. To Host Dove Cool & Confident Workshop

Girls Inc. of Central Alabama will present a free Dove Cool & Confident workshop for mothers and their daughters (ages 12-14) on Saturday, October 4th from 10am-3pm at the Girls Inc. Crestwood Center. Topics include: encouraging positive self-image, developing open communication, understanding the physical and emotional changes teen girls face, connecting to resources and talking about the tough stuff. Door prizes will be given away and a light lunch served. To register and for directions to the Girls Inc.Crestwood Center, please contact Julean Kirkpatrick at 599-5554 or jkirkpatrick@girlsinccentral-al.org. Girls Inc. Uniform Drive Provided 177 Uniforms to Girls!

Thank you to the generous support of our community members, Girls Inc. of Central Alabama was able to provide 177 uniforms to local girls in need. The uniforms were delivered to school counselors for further distribution. We are also extremely grateful to local Kohl's employees and the Kohl's Cares program for volunteering to help sort and organize the new uniforms! Pictured is one of their amazing employees.
