Giving Tuesday is the one day on the calendar dedicated to giving back - around the world, across Canada, and in your community.

Although Giving Tuesday has now passed, don't limit your giving to one day of the year - make every day a Giving Day.

Here are some ways to give back and get involved:

Make a donation to research and it will be matched
Register and fundraise for the Walk for Memories
Share your story to inspire others (see below)

Share Your Story for Awareness Month

We are now collecting experiences of women affected by dementia, to support our nationwide January Alzheimer's Awareness campaign.

If you are a woman living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, please consider sending us a photo and a short description to tell us a little of your story. We are also interested in photos and stories from women caring for someone who is living with Alzheimer's disease, or if you are caring for a woman with this disease.

Please send your story to media@alzheimer.sk.ca. We look forward to hearing from you!

Considering new traditions this holiday season

A diagnosis of dementia may mean changes to your holiday traditions. This may also mean more stress and unexpected feelings of loss of Christmas' gone by.

Dr. Darrell Mousseau, Saskatchewan Research Chair in Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias will share information on the progress of his research over the past five years, and insight into what your support will help him accomplish in the future. CEO, Joanne Bracken will provide an overview on how the Alzheimer Society funds research, and on programs and services available throughout the province.
