Compassion & Choices
Wednesday, June 10
2:00-4:00 pm
Do we have options about when and how we die? Do we want them? Come hear a presentation about the history of this question and how it continues to unfold as a legal issue in this country. Our presenter, Jacie Rowe - Northern CA organizer for Compassion & Choices - will discuss:
- What people should consider when considering their end of life options
- Types of assistance Compassion & Choices provides
- Medical Aid in Dying in different states and currently before the CA legislature
- Differing opinions on choice at end of life
We will have the opportunity to ask questions and open the topic for discussion. Learn more.

Caught in the Act (of having fun)

Pool Antics - The Emery Bunch neighborhood group has something planned almost every day of the week! No wonder they have to occasionally cool off by jumping in the Watergate pool. To find out what your neighborhood group is up to this month (so you can join them), check out the Neighborhood Group activities, column left.
|
Red Nose Day - There's no reason supporting a good cause can't be fun. Celebrating Red Nose Day on Thursday, May 21, are (left to right) Pat Carvalho, Lula Greene, Andrea Mok, Andy Gaines, and Sue Diehl. Red Nose Day is a nationwide campaign to raise money for children in poverty.

The above live lion in the wild was photographed by Ashby Village member Eric Schroeder on one of the many amazing tours he has organized for groups to travel to Australia, London, Greece, France, and South Africa.
Ashby Village is very interested to know if the friendships we're forging over lunch and happy hour might transport to travel abroad!
Call Eric to tell him you'd like to know if he plans a trip abroad for the Ashby Village community, and he'll put you on his list. Email him

Ashby Village Shout Out...
Thanks for finding a volunteer to go to Home Depot with me and buy potting soil. Brandon was perfect for this task. He is a young guy who lives at Watergate. He had the muscle needed for this job and was an interesting person. I was glad to meet and get acquainted with him. I'm very happy with the help he gave me.
Appreciate your help. Joyce (member)
