Dear Families and Friends, 

I hope most of you were able to ride out this latest storm with minimal discomfort and inconvenience.  It was great to see everyone in costume at Wednesday's "Trunk or Treat" event.  After missing four days of school this week, I especially enjoyed greeting the children this morning as they arrived ready and eager to resume their learning.  

As I mentioned last week, we are planning our annual Veterans' Day Luncheon for next Friday, November 9. Veterans and their spouses will be treated to a special luncheon served in their honor from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.   If you know of any Veterans who would like to join us, please have them call the office at 860-567-7420 so we can plan accordingly.

Parent Teacher Conferences were held last week.  Regular communication between home and school is very important to us.  We encourage you to remain in touch regarding your child's progress through e-mail or telephone conversations.  Unfortunately, the website contact page continues to work sporadically.  If you send an email to a teacher or staff member and it appears that no one is responding, please call the office to let us know!

FNO (Fun Night Out) - All 5th and 6th grade students from Warren, Morris and Goshen are invited to the first FNO this school year, on Friday, November 9th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. here in the James Morris School gym.  Beverages, snacks and fun stuff will be available for students to purchase.  Admission is $5.

IN LIEU OF TEACHER GIFTS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON.....

The Holidays are fast approaching and our PTO is asking families once again to help those in need.  In lieu of individual teacher gifts, please consider making a donation to our local Morris Food Bank.  The PTO will gratefully accept cash, checks, or grocery gift cards in any amount to be given to our local Morris Food Bank during the Holiday season.  Thank you!
