From the DRE:

A pondering: In thinking about the vision for our Ministry of Religious Education, I have been thinking of joining many other UU congregations to make RE = Religious Exploration. It has a nice sound to it and may describe more clearly what we actually encourage and do with our families and children. What do you think?

Challenge Grant

"Challenge Grant" to Refurbish the UUCM Building

Our wonderful hilltop facility has unfortunately suffered from a lack of maintenance in recent years, a consequence of budget shortfalls. To provide funds to refurbish the building and restore its aesthetic appeal, Geri Randall has offered a challenge grant: If the rest of the congregation collectively donates at least $5000 for this purpose, she will personally contribute $5000. The goal is to raise at least $10,000.

Many members donated generously at the budget hearing, where the challenge grant was announced.   If you did not attend the meeting, please make a contribution now. Note on your checks that the money is to be credited to the challenge grant refurbishment fund. Send or give to the UUCM office.

We will all share in the delight of a beautiful spiritual home.

Work Party May 30
multi-paint-cans.jpg

Work Party Saturday, May 30 10 am to 4 pm

Please help your community thrive by volunteering a few hours to clean, paint, and repair items around UUCM. You do not have to commit to the entire time. Please take a look at the list and pick a task or two that you would enjoy doing. There will be a potluck lunch - so bring something to share and UUCM will provide fruit and ice cream sundae makings. We want to enjoy our building and we want to provide an attractive place for rentals to generate income. Most of the jobs on the list are not hard. In addition some tools and expert advice will be available. Please email Thomas with questions and to let me know that you can help.

In faith much is possible.

Thomas
