November 30, 2014: "Cast All Your Votes for Dancing"
Rev. Bonnie Dlott, with Bev Munyon, Worship Associate
The mystic Shams-ud-din Muhammad Hafiz is not well known in the Western world, but he is Iran's most popular poet, even seven centuries after his death. His poetry describes the stages of the mystic's "path of love," in which human love can become divine, ultimately uniting the lover with the source of all love. Come today and learn more about Hafiz and his poetry.
Rev. Dr. Bonnie Dlott is the settled minister at the Napa Valley congregation, where she has served since 2006. She was a cell biologist before receiving a call to ministry. She graduated from Starr King School for the ministry in 2005. She is an "Our Whole Lives" trainer for the district, and describes herself as an "Earth-based mystic".
