Sunday Worship Service 10:30 am chalice

Joan Nelson, with Rodney Gothelf and Jason Stearns, Worship Associates

Old structures are falling away. New ones are forming. We still have a chance to play a crucial role in the outcome. But first we need to get-it about the "interdependent web" thing.Subatomic/molecular/quantum physics isn't as difficult as it sounds.

Nursing Lounge

Announcing the new Nursing Lounge at UUCM

For mothers who do not want to nurse in the service or in the foyer, we have a Nursing Lounge in the small room off the main Nursery. I had a couch moved in and vacuumed the place. It needs some more attention to straightening up, but it is a good quiet place to support nursing babies who get distracted. I am also collecting parenting, nursing, early childhood development, and fathering books for a shared library.

If you can help straighten it up or have books to donate, drop me a line or bring them by my office.

Sincerely Yours,

Jeffrey Melcher, DRE

Wellness Dinner

Our last Wellness Dinner was Tuesday September 9. Our contribution once a month is on the 2nd Tuesday.  Thanks to Carolyn and Alexandra Bopp, Joyce Rhodes, Mary Bicknell, Carol and Walt Littrell!  The main courses are prepared by the homeless group, led by the Homeless Chaplain, Paul Gaffney.  If you would like to contribute a salad and receive some "feel goods" as well as a lively time, call or email Carol Littrell: 883-9676 or cjwlittrell@aol.com.  If each of us participate

once a year, we give and receive our annual blessing!

Think about it.  Our brothers and sisters less fortunate than us are always most grateful!

Suggested donation $8.00 (Nobody turned away.)

UUCM's own Religious Education program graduate, Jelani Bertoni, has put his UU values to work by creating a literal "hub" for his mission of community, creativity and education.

The Bicycle Works provides tools and instruction for bike repair. This center of Marin's cycling culture sells new and used bikes, parts, and accessories. All are welcome to visit the Bicycle Works' work space, "share ideas, relax and get stuff done."  Be sure to check out the selection of electric-assist systems and cargo bikes!! Try one out through the Rent-to-Own program.

Please help, if you can, by providing food and/or assisting with set up or clean up. Please contact figleafjoan@comcast.net.
