Sunday Worship Service
|
April 6, 2014: "The Dance of the Dervish"
Rev. Chip Wright, with Sue Fleckles, Worship Associate

"Raising the Roof Beams!"
| | "Raising the Roof Beams!" May 4, 2014 Calling one and all (that's YOU!) to the first celebration of participation at UUCM in at least 5 years! Please join us on this Sunday May 4th to celebrate all that we currently are doing. Come learn about ongoing committees and activities. Get inspired to join the activities, committee work and numerous other places where you can contribute. Bring your passions and calendars so you can consider where you might best fit into our efforts to grow and strengthen our community. And while we are engaged in this all important volunteer planning, we will also be singing a passel of good old songs which will spur our creative spirits and passions. There are activities we need to develop as well, so come join in the fun and song and find a place to make a commitment to our common future! Let us keep our faith strong and vital, trust in the grace among us and raise the roof beams of our liberal religious community to new heights! Onward and upward... Rev Chip |
RE nUUs | | Children's Seder April 6th: A delightful ritual celebration of freedom: All children ages first grade and up are invited to join UUCM's Paul Steinman in a children's celebration of Passover. We start in the sanctuary as usual, then go to the Wright room after being sung out. Parents welcome too. Our Nursery Care Provider Heidi Eberle is leaving us to spend more time with family. Sunday April 6th is her last Sunday. We will have a thank you party for her down in the Nursery after the service. Please come celebrate Heidi's work with us for the past year and a half. Heidi says, "I have enjoyed getting to know you and your wonderful children. I will miss them very much. As you may have heard I will be spending more time with my family on Sundays. Seems to be the only day free for them. Thank you all for your kindness and trust. As Roy Rogers would say, 'Happy Trails!'" Jeffrey Melcher, M.Div. DRE@uuMarin.org |

For both adults and children. For inspiration and perhaps a few supplies, stop by the special craft table in the courtyard following the service on the next two Sundays. Memorial for Gordon Stewart | |
His memorial service will be on April 5 at 2 p.m. at the Women's Club, 515 B Street in Petaluma. Can you let Hope know if you will be coming to the service? We need a rough count for set up and food. Many thanks and love, Hope.

Book Group | | Our next meeting is April 16 at 7:30 in the Clara Barton Room. Our selection is Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates. This is a fictional account of the legend of Marilyn Monroe which "comes provocatively alive in this powerful tale of Hollywood myth and heartbreaking reality. Marilyn Monroe lives-reborn to tell her untold history . . . of the intricate inner life of the idolized and desired movie star as only the inimitable Joyce Carol Oates could paint it." (Amazon) All members and visitors are welcome to join our discussions. |
