Sunday Worship Service
|
September 22, 2013: 'The Autumnal Equinox' Rev. Chip Wright with Worship Associate Nani Ranken
In the religions of all peoples there are rituals and commonalities that surround the seasonal markers. From pagan spirituality to evangelical Christianity these times have come to unite us more and more by common experience.

Contemplative Service
| |
UUCM's early Sunday morning 9 am Contemplative Service in the Fireside Room is a lay led service. It has become a quiet reflective mainstay for the circle of 2 to 8 regulars who attend and we always welcome those who would like to try this alternative. Readings introduce a silent period to reflect on a topic or idea, followed by an opportunity to share individual thoughts.
Come and widen our circle. All are welcome!
Questions, email Carol Kerr at drckerr@pacbell.net.

Congregational Meeting 9/29

For the committees, tasks, and/or clubs on which you participate, please review the document, and please let me know your feedback. Are there member names which need to be added or deleted? Are the chairs identified correctly? Also, if you are a leader of a committee or a committee chair, let me know your thoughts on how often your committee meets and how well it is functioning, or any other suggestions you might have.
Please email your corrections, information, and thoughts to Dianne Estrada, email address is destrada@ffic.com. We will summarize all feedback and use it to prioritize our discussion. We look forward to a lively discussion on 9/29. All members please plan to attend!

Pastoral Care
| | DON'T MISS THE NOVEMBER 3RD CLASS!
This elders' class is designed for their family members or whomever is in charge when a medical emergency occurs! We are sponsoring Lisa Brinkman, gerontologist and director of Marin Village! She will be covering two very essential challenges: 1) What do we need to know when a medical crisis occurs, Options for Mom and/or Dad: keeping them in their homes or suitable alternatives? We also hope to include a lively Q&A.
This class & the November 17 class require registration. We will begin class at 12:15pm in the sanctuary. A light lunch will be served. Please call or email Carol Littrell-883-9676 or cjwlittrell@aol.com. This is a good time to bring your adult children so they can be better informed on these issues! Childcare will be provided! Presented by the Pastoral Care Committee and Rev.
