We got an A+ and we're super pleased!
As you can imagine, program accreditation is a big, hairy beast. Lots of paperwork, scrutinizing interviews and a fair amount of nail-biting. But we couldn't be happier with the news we just received from ACAOM (the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). Not only are we accredited, but we passed with flying colors! In one of the few times in ACAOM's history, the doctoral program at Emperor's College was granted full accreditation with no areas of 'non-compliance' (that's accreditation speak for sub-clinical pathology). While we feel a little silly calling ourselves the 'gold standard', it seems somewhat fitting. Please pardon us if it's a bit boastful. We'll settle down soon.

COHORT 8 BEGINS APRIL 2014
Next class starts in April. Financial Aid? Yes!
To ensure that all our financial aid t's are crossed and i's dotted, the next doctoral class (lovingly called Cohort 8) will begin Wed. April 2, 2014. This is a little later than we originally anticipated, but it seems better for everyone primarily because it allows time to iron out the financial aid process and ensure that funds are in place from day one. That's what you want, right? We thought so. Quite shortly we'll be sending out a step-by-step guide to doctoral financial aid (don't worry - it will be very similar to your master's program aid). But in the meantime... Cohort 8 begins April 2, 2014. Applications are due by Friday, January 31, 2014.
