A weekly, Friday morning bike ride in Kelowna is attracting a growing number of community members who are developing camaraderie through a shared love of cycling. The brigade was launched by Urban Systems CEO Martin Bell as a personal thankfulness project. It combines Martin's love of cycling with his idea to generate an appreciative spirit for the community's assets and gifts.

Noticing a marked decline in the level of public discourse in Canadian communities, Urban Systems CEO Martin Bell decided to do something about it. And so, about a year ago, he launched the 100 Bike Brigade in Kelowna, B.C. as a community-building effort.
