July 6 Home Clinic: The Essential Hawaii Toolkit
Have you ever wondered what tools you really need to handle home repairs and maintenance?  Here in Hawaii, your tool kit might look a little different, due to our warm weather, incredible plant growth and damage to metal from the humidity.

Join us on Saturday, July 6, from 10-11 a.m. at the ReStore.  Presented by Jake Bierman, owner of Bierman Home Inspections, who is also a Hilo Habitat board member.   No reservations required.

Jerry Sardis:
Volunteer of the Month

If you visit the ReStore on a Thursday morning, you might run into Jerry Sardis and his sister, Lynncen, who come each week to clean glass as ReStore volunteers.  Jerry is part of the Pahoa ARC Day Program, run by Manager Emily Bartlett-Henry, who helped Jerry find a volunteer opportunity and environment that he enjoys.

"I love working on the glass because it looks so nice when it's clean," Jerry says.  ReStore customers love Jerry, too, because the glass they buy looks great and is ready to use.

If you're interested in volunteering at the ReStore for sales, sorting, or pickups, please stop by the store or call Rex, 935-6677.
