Have you noticed that when you are in certain places and with certain people, things come more easily to you? That is because geography matters. I have seen very gifted people struggling today because they were in the wrong place, and I've seen less talented people thrive because they were in the right place. Elijah was instructed to go to a brook at Cherith with the promise ..."I have commanded the ravens to feed you there".

Notice that God told Elijah exactly where he was to go. The ravens had been commanded to come only to Cherith. Had he gone anywhere else, God wouldn't have met his need. At some point in your spiritual journey, you have to learn how to hear from God with regards to where He wants you to be.

Five hundred were instructed to go to the Upper Room. Only 120 obeyed and received the promised blessing. For his blessing and purpose to be fulfilled, Abraham was told to leave his father's house and set out for a new land. Are you getting the idea? You can't be working the wrong job, be with the wrong crowd, be in the wrong calling, and wonder why things are not working out. God will not bless you just everywhere; He'll bless you if you're where He wants you to be.

Where you are determines what grows within you...weeds or flowers, strengths or weaknesses. God had promised you favor, but sometimes He has to change your address to get it to you! It was when Ruth moved to Bethlehem that she met Boaz and her life was filled with blessing. Take a moment and ask yourself honestly, "Am I where God wants me to be?" Be bold enough to make a move if you need to...because where you are matters. It controls the flow of favor in your life.
