"...Do not worry about your life..." (Matthew 6:25)
Whatever names or hats we put on it --"cares", "concerns", "anxiety", "fear", worry paralyzes active faith in a Christian's life. When you are worried, you assume responsibility for what you were never intended to handle. Worry means, "to divide the mind", and a divided mind is unfocused and unfruitful. Worry is a choking emotion that attempts to elevate human strength and plans above God's strength and purposeful plan. It draws your focus away from God and His faithfulness to the concerns of life. Worry is the opposite of faith, suggesting that God cannot be trusted to take care of you or provide what you need.
Recognize first and foremost that worry is a form of unbelief and confess your worry to God. Lay everything at the feet of Jesus. In place of anxious thoughts, offer thanksgiving from a heart established with trust in a God that is all sufficient. Literally count your blessings. Write all the good things God has done for you. As you do that, you will be amazed at all the positive things that happened to you. You must trust that God has given you everything needed for this moment in time. "...He who spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Romans 8:32.
Determine in your heart to see your cup half full instead of half empty. In your prayer time, kneel before Jesus with your cup raised up to Him. See Him fill that cup to overflowing. That is His promise. Your cup will be full. Your dreams will be fulfilled. He will grant you the desires of your heart. Live without worry because He will take care of you.
Stay above...always.
Yours & His,
