For more visitor information contact visitspokane.com. For additional hospitality information and lodging, contact agillespie@visitspokane.com.

We try to keep open access to many downtown parking garages, but just remember, with 250,000 people flocking into the city each day, spots are going to be in demand.  For parking options contact The Parkade, Diamond Parking, ABM and the River Park Square Parking Garage.

show respect

At Hoopfest, we believe in the spirit of competition. The hustle. The sweat. The give-it-all-you-got streetball attitude. It's why our players pound the pavement for two days just to win a T-shirt and bragging rights. Practice sportsmanship. Others will thank you for it and McDonald's will reward you for it! mcdonalds

Play tough, but play fair and keep these things in mind:

  • Show respect for your opponents
  • Show respect for the court monitors
  • Know, understand, and appreciate the rules of Hoopfest
  • Keep your cool
  • Cheer for your players and the other team
Get in the Game - Recycle!
Hoopfest works hard to reduce the impact that 250,000 people can have on the environment. With the support of Itron and by partnering with the Spokane Regional Solid Waste System, we have made great strides in reducing the amount of waste Hoopfest generates. There will be 400 recycling receptacles available throughout the event. Please take advantage of them! Hoopfest now integrates food scraps in its recycling efforts. You will find recycling centers scattered throughout the food court area and Numerica Credit Union Sponsor Garden. Each recycling center will consist of Recycling, Trash and "Scrape Your Plate" green food compost totes.

Hoopfest Memories
by A.J. Parker

AJ Parker Memory

Last year, my team and I made it all the way to the championship game after going through the losers bracket. It was tough! Especially having to play back- to-back-to-back games.

In the championship game we wanted to win so badly, but we were just too tired. Even after the loss we all looked at each other, smiled, laughed and shook the other teams hands.

We might not have gotten the big "W," but I was so proud of my best friends and how we played. That year was the furthest any of us have gotten before. Having all our friends and family there watching us, and still being proud of us after it all, was a great feeling.

Oh, and we're back this year and looking to take it all!
