 |
 The Giant Food Drives are back and we need your support! Help collect food at Montgomery County Giant Grocery Stores.
When volunteers help we collect more food - it's that simple.
Saturday -Sunday, October 22nd and 23rd
11am - 2pm, AM Shift
2pm - 5pm, PM Shift
11am - 5pm, Full Day Shift
We will send you an email confirming availability for your preferred store, date, and time.
Due to limited space at the stores Giant has requested that we limit the number of volunteers, at any one time, to a maximum of 5 (including the adult supervisor).
At least one adult supervisor (21 or older) needs to be present at all times. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

| Harvest Days at First Fruits Farms |
Harvest Event
First Fruits Farm and Manna volunteers harvest thousands of pounds of first-rate produce each year for Manna's clients. Come join the fun and help your neighbors in need. Bring your family, friends, neighbors or co-workers!
Date: Saturday, November 5th
Time: 8:30am to approximately 11:30am or 12pm.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for volunteer check in.
Where: First Fruits Farm near Freeland, MD
Farm is about an hour north of Baltimore.
Volunteers will harvest and bag produce. Volunteers must be 7+ and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, 21 or older. Volunteers must provide their own transportation to the field. Click here for more information and to register today.

| Satellite Distribution Volunteers |

Volunteers must be 17 years of age or older
Advance registration is required
Help distribute food to Manna's clients at our satellite distribution sites in and around the County. Volunteers will come to the satellite location and help distribute food to Manna's clients out of the back of our truck, alongside Manna staff. The volunteer work is OUTSIDE and takes place RAIN or SHINE.
TIME: 3:30pm - 7pm. Volunteers arrive @ 3:30pm, distribution begins @ 4pm and ends @ 7pm.

How volunteers help: Volunteers will help load boxes of food in to client cars. The volunteer task is outside and the work is physical, requiring bending and lifting of up to 25 pounds. To register to volunteer: If you are interested in volunteering at a satellite location, advance registration is required.

| Community Food Rescue Volunteers Wanted |
| Food Distribution Volunteer |
Must be 17 years of age or older
SSL hours available
Volunteers help with a variety of tasks such as packing and sorting food, bagging produce and meat, assisting clients to their car, and taking in food donations.
This is a great time to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours!
Volunteers are needed every day Monday through Friday: 9am-3pm. Volunteers should be comfortable standing on their feet, bending, reaching and lifting, 5 - 25 pounds.

Staff a Manna table at outreach events, and share information about Manna's mission in the community.
