Help distribute food to Manna's clients at our satellite distribution sites in and around the County.  Volunteers will come to the satellite location and help distribute food to Manna's clients out of the back of our truck, alongside Manna staff.  The volunteer work is OUTSIDE and takes place RAIN or SHINE. 
 
TIME:  3:30pm - 7pm.  Volunteers arrive @ 3:30pm, distribution begins @ 4pm and ends @ 7pm.

How volunteers help:
Volunteers will help load boxes of food in to client cars.  The volunteer task is outside and the work is physical, requiring bending and lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Volunteer for the Whole Foods Market 5% Day

On Wednesday, February 17th, all 5 Montgomery County Whole Foods Market locations will donate 5% of their sales to Manna Food Center!  Please help us spread the word about this great event!
 
Volunteers are needed to staff an information table throughout the day to let customers know about the event and provide them more information about Manna.

Please note: This volunteer opportunity requires a firm commitment due to the limited number of volunteer spaces available. Please double check your calendar to confirm your availability prior to registering. 
 
We will send you an email confirming availability for your preferred store and time.  
 


Due to limited space at the stores, Whole Foods Market has requested that we limit the number of volunteers, at any one time, to a maximum of 5 (including the adult supervisor).  
 
At least one adult supervisor (21 or older) needs to be present at all times.  Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Food Distribution Volunteer

 Volunteers help with a variety of tasks such as packing and sorting food, bagging produce and meat, assisting clients to their car, and taking in food donations.  

This is a great time to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours!

Volunteers are needed every day Monday through Friday: 9am-3pm.  Volunteers should be comfortable standing on their feet, bending, reaching and lifting, 5 - 25 pounds.

Client Services Representative
Referral Volunteers
As a client service representative (CSR) you will log referrals by phone, fax, and email in to our database.  Volunteers must be able to make a commitment of a minimum of 6 months.  We will provide you with the necessary training on our database.    
 
We have the following volunteer shifts currently available:
  • Thursday Evening shift, 4-7pm (weekly commitment)
  • 2nd Saturday of the Month, 10am-2pm (monthly commitment)
English/Spanish bi-lingual skills are a plus; however not required.
