Dear Parents,

I am so excited for Monday to arrive! The Cavalier Nation has been even better than advertised with the welcome I've received. Many of you are actively involved in a variety of parent groups at Lake Travis High School, and I want to thank you for your involvement--as well as encourage you to invite your friends to join you!

A few parent specific items for this week.... If your student drives to school, please encourage him/her to leave a few minutes earlier than usual the first week of school. We have enrolled almost 200 more students than last year, and traffic is always a little heavier than usual the first week of school. Also, as a reminder, we only accept food deliveries from parents, no outside restaurant deliveries. If possible, please try to coordinate with your student which office is closest for them to pick up their lunch during passing period or on the way to lunch.

The student and parent handbook for LTHS is posted on the Lake Travis High School page. It is a nice reference guide for all things related to attendance, dress code, grading, and general practices related to LTHS. http://www.ltisdschools.org/Page/29526 If you have specific questions related to the handbook, please contact your student's assistant principal or counselor.

If your student did not attend Round-Up or receive their textbooks, they can pick up textbooks before or after school in the main bookroom by the cafeteria.

Volunteers are needed to help distribute textbooks to the students the first few weeks of school.  After checking in at the MAIN Building front office, volunteers should report to the book room near the cafeteria. 

Optional training on Friday, August 19th, at 3:15pm to learn the process and help your volunteer time go more smoothly.

LTHS Boys Lacrosse is hosting our annual Kickoff Meeting on Monday, August 29th at 6:30pm in the Annex Recital Hall.  We would like to invite any families that may be interested learning about the lacrosse club and participating.

LT Girls Lacrosse Fall Ball Registration is open!  Practice begins week of September 6.  There will be 3, 1.5 hour weekly practices - 2 weekday and 1 weekend. Practice dates TBD.  For more details and registration information go to laketravisgirlslacrosse.com.  PE Waiver available!
