Planning for the 2016-2017 School Year
While we have not even finished the first semester of the 2015-2016 school year, it is time to begin planning the 2016-2017 year. The first step in that process is to ask students which courses they would like to take next year. Juniors and their parents have been meeting over the last month to review transcripts and to see which courses must be taken to complete each graduation plan. The High School Counselors will meet this week with the Class of 2020, Eighth Graders from LTMS and HBMS to advise them on developing a four year plan. Central to all of this advising is completion by each High School student of a course selection sheet.
Junior Course Selection Sheet
Junior students, please remember to complete the Course Selection Sheet that was given to you in your English class this week. If you cannot find your copy, you may print one from the electronic copy on the Counseling website. Junior Students and Parents, please mark the Course Choice Sheet and sign the sheet. Once you have determined which courses you wish to take, go to your Career Cruising account and update your course selections. If you can submit your choices, please submit. If you receive an error message, then email to your counselor and she will submit for you. Finally, return the completed Course Choice Sheet to the Counseling Office.
Rising Sophomores and Juniors
Rising Sophomore and Junior students will complete the course registration process in January. Parent meeting for the Classes of 2018 and 2019 will be Wednesday evening, January 13 at 6:30 pm in the PAC.
