Have a Healthier Germ-Free Home with Shaklee's Basic-G
The chore of cleaning your home to keep it germ and bacteria free can, at times, be overwhelming.  You wipe all surfaces down with bleach, or some other popular brand name disinfectant.  The goal is to kill the germs and bacteria the children or the household pets bring in from the outside.  But then you ultimately have to spend the rest of the day with a headache or sinus issues due to the smell of the chemical odors these disinfectants produce.

After reviewing the ingredients of other household disinfectants, it's simple to understand why they produce a toxic odor that irritates you so easily.  Here are some of the ingredients in Lysol and Clorox bleach.

Clorox Bleach 
  • Sodium Hydroxide (also known as caustic soda or lye)

Lysol Disinfectant Spray

  • Ethanol
  • Butane
  • Propane

Shaklee's Basic-G is a highly concentrated multi-purpose neutral pH germicidal detergent and deodorant that disinfects, cleans, and deodorizes all in one step.  When diluted properly, according to directions, Basic-G creates no toxins and has a very light odor.  It is safe to use around children and household pets.  It's nonflammable and biodegradable.  Basic-G is, by far, the safest disinfectant on the market today.  Like other Shaklee products, it is formulated to be safe and gentle on the people who use it, and gentle on the environment.

Basic-G kills the following Bacteria:
  1. Staphylocogcus Aureus
  2. Streptococus Pyogenes
  3. Salmonella enterica
  4. Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
  5. Enterobacter Cloacae
  6. Klebsiella Pneumoniae
  7. Proteus Vulgaris
  8. Serratia Marcascens
  9. Shigella Flexneri
  10. Shigella Sonnei
  11. Proteus Mirabilis
  12. E. Coli
  13. Salmonella Typhi
  14. Salmonella Typhimurium   

Lysol Disinfectant only kills 4 Bacteria:   

Staphylocogcus Aureus, Streptococus Pyogenes, Salmonella Faecalis, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa

  1. Trichophyton Interdigitale
  2. Candida Albicans  

Lysol Disinfectant kills 0 (zero) Fungi

  8. Influenza Virus A2/Hong Kong
  9. Infectious Bronchitis Virus (Avian IBV)
  10. Porcine Parvovirus
  11. Hepatitis B Virus (HBV)
  12. Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)
  13. Rubella
  14. Rabies Virus
  15. Vaccinia (Pox virus)  

Lysol Disinfectant only kills 3 Viruses:  Influenza Virus A2/Hong Kong, Herpes Simplex Type 1, Herpes Simplex Type 2, Vaccinia



Shaklee's Basic G (Concentrated Germicide)
  • Basic G 1/2 tsp. makes 1 - 16oz spray bottle
  • 1 tbsp makes 1 gallon
  • 1 qt. makes up to 64 gallons
  • It's effectiveness lasts up to three days after application
  • Kills several animal viruses, including Feline Leukemia
  • Kills 44 types of bacteria, fungi and viruses
  • Has a three-year shelf life
  • Is EPA registered
