Dear Friends and Supporters of Brazil Mission Society,
There are many needs at the Orphanage. Like any home it takes money for the mortgage, utilities, food, clothing, medical needs, gasoline, and on and on and on and on!
But there are little things that just make life - "fun!"
..............Like Ice Cream!
Want a creative idea for you or your Sunday School or VBS this year to raise money - how about a mission offering used to treat the children at HTI to some Ice Cream!
Or, there are some items that are very small in size - but very important for the children to build relationships with their sponsors....
.................Like Postage Stamps!
Every time a Sponsor sends a letter to their God-Child,
the Child writes a letter back. The child usually sends a drawing or picture of themselves as well! Each letter costs approximately $2.50 (US) to send via regular mail or $3.50 for faster delivery. This would be another creative idea for fund-raising for the Orphanage - funds to be used for postage to make it easier for all of the children to write letters!
So, if you our your "group" are looking for fund-raising ideas, how about
ICE CREAM or POSTAGE STAMPS!
(both are sweet and require licking!)
